Our chance to fight back

Time and again, communities across the Northern Territory have said no the to dangers of fracking.

But Origin Energy - one of Australia’s biggest fracking companies - refuses to listen in their pursuit of profit. So next Wednesday, Traditional Owners and Seed are going head-to-head with Origin at their AGM, showing that we won’t back down.

Will you join Traditional Owners from the frontline of the fracking fight, Seed and the whole Protect Country Alliance at the Origin Energy AGM on the 17th of October at 9:45am?

Origin Energy has huge plans to frack the NT and if they succeed, the impacts for Traditional Owners, water and our climate would be catastrophic.

People should have the final say about what happens to their land, but Origin Energy has ignored the concerns of Traditional Owners and failed tell communities about the risks involved with fracking.

What’s more, fracking the gas underneath the Beetaloo Basin in the Northern Territory would release 22 billion tonnes of CO2-equivalent emissions. That’s five times more than the whole of Adani’s Carmichael coal mine.

We have to stop them.

Companies like Origin care about their shareholders and reputation more than anything. And that’s why next Wednesday, October 17, we are going to their AGM.

We’ll be making sure that shareholders and the senior executives of Origin hear directly from Traditional Owners, who have been on the frontline of fight against fracking.
